Mission Statement

Ten years ago Washington International University modified the teaching of American Higher Education through distance learning programs by recognizing the realities and educational limitations existing in other countries (limited research facilities, cultural and religious factors, violence, wars, etc.) and the realities and obligations of adults in the USA. The final result was a WIU degree program designed to satisfy the educational needs of adult students all over the world and the USA.

WIU developed accelerated degree programs to provide academic credit for an adult student's professional work experience and specialized training, based on the guidelines of the American Council of Education, Council of Adult Experiential Learning and the United States INS equivalency of degree requirements.

For the first time, thousands of adults in the USA and all over the world have a chance to be educated in current developments in their field, sharpen their communication skills, build self confidence and earn a degree. We modified our degree programs to take into account the realities that exist in other parts of the world and the busy schedule of the American adult which is filled with responsibilities and little free time.

Today, Washington International University is a private global educational institution providing distance education through a World Class faculty to adult students in 39 states in the USA and 112 countries around the world.
